The Bella Proccess
The Bella Luna process is quite simple:
Find the freshest Italian first cold pressed extra virgin olive oil and organic Italian first cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. We believe we have found this in Sardinia. This island off the coast of Italy provides the perfect climate for growing the finest olives in all of Italy.
Bella Luna Foods cultivates three different varieties of olives for our Black Label, the Tonda di Cagalari, the Semidana and the Bosana. The harvest is produced very carefully by hand in between October through December. The olive is a very sensitive fruit which should not be damaged in order to keep its highest of quality, therefore the olives are transported in flat boxes.
To gain the best quality the harvested olives are brought directly to the mill and submitted to the traditional cold pressing method.
We at Bella Luna have a strict rule, all the used ingredients for our Black Label must be produced in Sardinia.
